After four years of taking classes, sleepless nights, and caffeine-driven days, now is the moment to graduate and enjoy your hard work. At this point, you're already thinking about what to wear. Whether you're graduating from college or high school, here are some tips to guide you in planning your graduation outfit.
1.) Think about your style
Before anything else, envision yourself on your big day. Are there any colors or types of clothes you have in mind? You need to be comfortable and stylish on such a momentous occasion. I suggest planning a specific time for you to look into your closet and bring out your best dresses, jumpsuits, shoes, pants, and even skirts. If you have an extra budget, this is a great time to do some shopping. I recommend that if you’re graduating in spring, choosing clothes with bright colors or fun prints can help in expressing your creative style underneath the traditional cap and gown. In winter, I recommend using clothes in a darker solid color or patterns. As for the shoe department, it’s best to go with wedge or block heel types since you’d be walking a lot. Especially in an outdoor grassy setting, avoid using thin heels as they sink quickly into the grass. Meanwhile, for the gentlemen, feel free to choose the color of your polo shirt, necktie pattern, and trousers too. Guys have their unique styles, and this occasion is a beautiful opportunity to unleash their creativity

2.) Keep the dress code in mind
Usually, schools or universities would announce specific dress codes for male and female graduating students. It’s essential to keep such details in mind to ensure that your outfit complements the agreed dress code. A usual recommendation for the ladies is to keep the length of their dress or skirt shorter than their gown length. Also, the standard dress code for schools or universities is formal/ semi-formal. Having that general attire doesn’t stop you from being creative and stylish.

3.Treasure your awesome outfits with amazing professional photos!
Graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is where you get to finally receive that diploma you’ve been working hard for so long. Especially when the pandemic started, some places were placed in lockdown, forcing most of us to isolate. We began shifting to online modes of learning that affected our learning styles. However, despite that moment of isolation, we were able to spend that time knowing more about ourselves. At this point, our graduation isn’t only an event to commemorate our academic achievement but also the completion of a part of ourselves that we got to know during the pandemic. It gives us a solid reminder that no matter how life brings unexpected changes, we are resilient and flexible enough to keep growing into a better version of ourselves.
